Bornhagen (Thuringia) – New details on the raid on AfD boss Björn Höcke (51)!

As the police headquarters in Mainz (Rhineland-Palatinate) confirmed to BILD, a house search in Bornhagen on November 28, 2022 was also preceded by investigations into the illegal possession of weapons by Höcke's older son (then 14).

Police spokeswoman Anna Dexheimer to BILD: "On August 13, 2022, an Instagram user uploaded a message and a photo of a weapon to the Rhineland-Palatinate police channel, stating that he was in possession of it. Shortly thereafter, both postings and the user profile were deleted. However, we were able to secure the profile photo and the user data with the help of Instagram. ”The trail apparently led directly to Björn Höcke's eldest son!

The police spokeswoman: "When it was clear that the sender was a young person from Thuringia, we handed over the investigation to the Mühlhausen Criminal Police Office on August 29."

qAs reported by the MDR, the weapon for which the young person is said to have had no gun license was also found during the raid.

According to senior public prosecutor Ulf Walther (64), charges have already been brought. He confirmed to BILD on Tuesday: "On November 28, the home of the Höcke family in Bornhagen was searched. A minor family member is accused. The Mühlhausen public prosecutor has filed charges.”

The former history teacher Björn Höcke has been classified and observed as a right-wing extremist by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution since 2020. He was repeatedly noticed by racist, xenophobic and anti-Semitic statements. A BILD request from Höcke's defender Ralf Hornemann has so far remained unanswered..
