Party leader Schirdewan said in Berlin that the traffic light government was not providing any answers to the social challenges. Inequality in this country continues to grow. Among other things, the left proposes automatic inflation compensation for all wages and salaries. The party is also calling for the minimum wage to be raised to 14 euros, as well as a wealth tax and an excess profit tax for corporations. In addition, wages in eastern Germany are to be adjusted to western levels by the end of 2025.
