Ex-head of the authority wants 100,000 euros ZDF is threatened with a big fine because of Böhmermann!

Will this Böhmermann show be particularly expensive for ZDF?

The ex-president of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), Arne Schönbohm (54), is demanding compensation of 100,000 euros from ZDF.

Reason: A ZDF broadcast from October 2022 in whichBackground: Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (53, SPD) dismissed Schönbohm as BSI boss in October 2022 after the Böhmermann show. Schönbohm defended himself and is now President of the Federal Academy for Public Administration. satirist Jan Böhmermann (42) accused Schönbohm of being close to Russian secret services.

The public broadcaster confirmed on Wednesday that a corresponding lawyer's letter was available: “What is required is the submission of a cease-and-desist declaration and monetary compensation in the specified amount. ZDF rejected the demands today.”

Schönbohm's lawyer Markus Hennig told the dpa news agency that the letter was sent to ZDF last week. The magazine “Bunte” first reported on the demand.

Among other things, it is demanded that it no longer be allowed to claim that the ex-head of the authorities was consciously in contact with intelligence services in Russia or other countries.
