The government logbookThese are the traffic light's biggest mile-eaters

If we wanted to shoot the federal government to the moon - it would already be there twice!

Chancellor Olaf Scholz (65th, SPD) has already driven his traffic light ministers 850,000 kilometers in their personal service limos since taking office in December 2021. That's 2.2 times the distance from the earth to the moon.

The government had to announce this at the request of the AfD. But she refused to publish the individual list for the respective ministers.

And who is the biggest mile eater in the traffic light cabinet?

It is the chancellor himself who, like the vice chancellor under Angela Merkel, is chauffeured in an armored “Mercedes S-Class”.

The last to stroll is: Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (42, Greens) with her Audi A8 hybrid (long version). No wonder: the Foreign Minister flies around the world (when she arrives) more than she gurkt through Germany.

The worker bee in the cabinet deserves a diligent bee when eating kilometers: Labor Minister Hubertus Heil (50, SPD) has driven around an impressive 128,800 km in his Mercedes-Benz S 580 e 4MATIC 9GTRONIC since the traffic light started. He has traveled from the North to the South Pole more than 6.5 times.

More of a short-distance minister is the Minister for Economics: Robert Habeck (53, Greens) is only an average of 52,400 kilometers. That's only half as many kilometers as with Transport Minister Volker Wissing (53, FDP), who scrubbed 100 100 kilometers with his official car (same model as Heil).

Experience has shown that 20 to 25 percent of the trips are empty trips - i.e. without a minister on board ...
