GAAC's Transformative Efforts: Modernizing Afghanistan's Airports

UAE-based GAAC Holding has successfully signed a final contract with the Taliban administration, solidifying its mission to modernize Afghanistan's major airports. Despite significant challenges faced by the country's aviation sector, GAAC Holding swiftly invested $641,000 to restore functionality and ensure safety. Their efforts included repairing infrastructure, implementing advanced security measures, and training over 500 local staff.
Specializing in aviation services, GAAC Holding has been active in Afghanistan since November 2020, providing ground handling, premium services, and security at key international airports. In May 2022, they secured another contract to develop and manage air navigation services across the country, investing in modernization efforts.
The recent contract with the Taliban administration covers all aspects of airport management and operations, aiming to attract international airlines and foster economic growth. GAAC Holding's remarkable achievements include serving 1.5 million passengers, handling 40,000 tons of cargo, and employing over 1,000 local staff to international standards.
This transformative project is expected to assist the Taliban in gaining international recognition and marks a significant milestone in the revitalization of Afghanistan's aviation sector.
